About AP Physics B

Instructor: Mr. F. Heyler
Room: W103
Period(s): 5 (Lab @ 6)

APB is a college level, trigonometry-based survey course in Physics, covering a broad range of topics representative of many college programs. Learning, understanding, and applying physical concepts and laws are both the major challenges and the major rewards of this course. At the end of the year you will take the AP Physics B exam, demonstrating your mastery of Physics at the college level. Furthermore, many careers such as medicine and engineering make direct use of physics. However, even if you do not pursue a physics-related career, a better understanding the natural world around you is invaluable. You will understand why rainbows occur and why your car can accelerate less the faster it goes.
